Rae’s top picks: November 2024

Festive TOP PICKS

“This year, I’m still crushing on the paper trend in decorations. I’m also finding myself drawn to more textural and abstract pieces that blend into my existing styling while adding a bit of festive interest.”

I’m back a little early for my Top Picks this month, because I just couldn’t contain my excitement to share the festive goodies I’ve got my eyes on!

It feels like Christmas kicks-off earlier and earlier each year, but I’m definitely not complaining. I’ve had the festive jitters since at least early September and that’s exactly how I like it.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year – there’s always something magical about the feeling you get when the department stores start whipping out their new ranges and displays, and I love the opportunity to give our home a little festive glow-up.

Growing up the Christmas tree always came out at the start of December, but since living out of home I’ve always been a start of November girl – it feels like the perfect balance between not too early and not too late.

I’m also no stranger to trawling the Christmas ranges of my favourite home shops each year to see what I can add to my growing collection.

I’ve tried to build a collection of festive decor that’s timeless, and that comes with matching pieces as best I can to my everyday style. I also try and avoid pieces that are overly themed, or mixing and matching different styles even if I love a single piece on its own.

This way, everything blends together seamlessly for a more cohesive feel throughout our home, and nothing feels out of place.

This year, I’m still crushing on the paper-made trend in decorations. I’m also finding myself drawn to more textural and abstract pieces that blend into my existing styling while adding a bit of festive interest.

So sit back, relax, and scroll your way through the first festive edition of my Top Picks!
